What You'll See and Do
Our Sequoia National Park Full-Day Tour is the complete experience! We’ll take the stress out of navigating the Park so you can fully and comfortably enjoy the views and the nature all around.
As we begin our journey from the park’s entrance to the Giant Forest, we will drive on the General’s Highway as it winds its way along the scenic Kaweah River. Gaining elevation, we will travel through a diverse and changing landscape from dramatic flowering, cream-colored yuccas in the lower foothills to the largest protected Blue Oak woodland in the world. As we witness the steepest watershed in the Continental United States, we will also see the majestic peaks of the Great Western Divide of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. These epic views are not to be missed!
Throughout the day, we’ll stop in the aptly named Giant Forest, home to the largest Sequoias and many with their own unique name. Looking up at these natural giants is an unforgettable experience that cannot be captured in words. You will have the opportunity to marvel at the largest tree on the planet – the General Sherman Tree. You have the option to climb Moro Rock or just enjoy its magnificence from a distance, marvel at Tunnel Log – a fallen Sequoia you can walk through and watch as smaller vehicles drive through for a fun photo experience. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to gain another perspective on just how massive these trees are as you witness the Auto Log and experience up close and personal the incredible size of this fallen Sequoia Tree.
During our summer tours, we’ll take a break for a delicious picnic lunch. You’ll have a choice of 4 delicious sandwiches, cookies, chips, and fruit – locally prepared fresh each day.
Additional stops may include the Giant Forest Museum, where you can learn about the history, significance, and conservation of these monumental trees, Hospital Rock, a Native American heritage site, or a beautiful meadow. Your guide will make a unique plan for the day based on the conditions and maximizing your time in the Park. Any and all of these stops make a wonderful addition to the day!
Looking for a completely unique experience? Visit Sequoia National Park in winter for a truly magical day. Our winter version of the Full-Day Tour runs from mid-October until April 30th (depending on snow). Generally includes stops at the stunning 11 Ranges overlook observation point, the Giant Forest Museum, Round Meadow, the General Sherman tree, Long Meadow, and the Tokopah Valley. Our tour will also include a stop at the stately Wuksachi Lodge or Lodgepole Deli, where you can purchase your lunch.
Visiting Sequoia National Park can seem like a daunting experience on your own. We pride ourselves on offering the highest quality tours in the area with experienced guides. Our intimate tours mean no waiting in never-ending long lines, looking for parking, no taking shuttle busses and no massive groups. Because of our limited size and extensive knowledge of the parks, we are able to take you to areas few people see or would even know are there!
Make the most of your Sequoia adventure and maximize your experience in our comfortable intimate, air-conditioned vehicle. Whether you’re more active and love to reach the end of every trail or enjoy a peaceful moment to yourself out in nature, our tours have you and your abilities in mind.
At the end of the day, you won’t leave empty-handed. In addition to stunning photos and lasting memories, each guest takes home a complementary Sequoia Seed growing kit so you can grow your own Sequoia tree! Amazing tour in the middle of winter. Paul was a thoughtful and knowledgeable guide of this beautiful region. We were able to see sights that not many people see when they visit the park for the day and Paul (our guide) gave us a great insight into the park itself. Thank you for a great day! Would highly recommend to everyone.
