Frequently Asked Questions

Sequoia National Park is large, busy, and can be overwhelming for first-time visitors. Our tours allow guests to relax and enjoy the experience without worrying about mountain driving, parking, navigation, or planning logistics. Our guides help guests maximize their limited time in the park while sharing local knowledge, history, wildlife, and hidden highlights along the way.

Yes – many of our guests are seniors or prefer a more relaxed pace. Our tours are designed around scenic stops and short walks rather than strenuous hiking. Guests are always welcome to remain near the vehicle if they prefer to walk less. Private tours offer the greatest flexibility for guests with mobility concerns.

No. While there is some driving between locations due to the size of Sequoia National Park, the day is broken up with frequent scenic stops, short walks, overlooks, giant sequoia groves, and time outside the vehicle.

We specialize in small-group experiences using comfortable air-conditioned 10-passenger vans with spacious seating. Our smaller groups allow for a more personal, relaxed, and flexible experience than large bus tours.

Three Rivers is the closest gateway town to Sequoia National Park and allows guests to reach the park much earlier in the day with far less driving. Staying in Three Rivers also avoids the long daily commute from Fresno and provides a quieter, more scenic experience closer to nature.

Yes – summer and holiday periods often sell out well in advance, especially small-group tours. We strongly recommend reserving early if you plan to visit between May and October.

Children are welcome on our private tours, which offer a more flexible and personalized experience for families with younger children. Due to the length and pace of our Sequoia Majesty small-group tour, we generally recommend this experience for children ages 8 and older.
