Our Full-Day tour departs from outside the park, in Three Rivers. On the Full-Day Tour we travel through many different life zones to reach the Giant Forest, which is not included on the Half-Day tour.  We also have a lunch stop and a visit to the Giant Forest Museum, activities which are also not included on the Half-Day Tour.

Our Sequoia Full-Day Tour is generally 8 hours long. Our Sequoia Half-Day Tour (leaving from Wuksachi Lodge) is generally 3.5 hours long. Our Kings Canyon Tour is between 7-9 hours, depending on your pickup location. Of course, all times are dependent upon weather, wildlife sightings, and other conditions out of our control—all of which might affect our time.

Yes. After the initial drive into the Giant Forest, we will be making frequent stops to explore the wonders of Sequoia National Park.

Sequoia Full-Day Tour guests will be picked up at their accommodations in Three Rivers. Sequoia Half-day Tour guests will be picked up at the Wuksachi Lodge in Sequoia National Park. Kings Canyon Full-Day Tour guests can either be picked up at the John Muir Lodge in Kings Canyon National Park, or at the Three Rivers Historical Museum in Three Rivers for an additional cost of $10 per person

We can accommodate those able to use a bus seat and can carry collapsed wheelchairs and walkers. We do not have ramps or spots for open wheelchairs on our vehicles.

The weather in the Sierra Nevada Mountains can be unpredictable. As your tour approaches, we strongly recommend you check the weather at the following website:

www.nps.gov/seki/planyourvisit/weather.html

We do not currently offer tours of Yosemite – We leave that to the experts at www.discoveryosemite.com. We highly recommend this company.

You should dress in layers. Wuksachi Lodge sits at an elevation of Elevation 7200′ above sea level. The weather can vary from one location to another, so dressing in layers will allow you to be comfortable no matter where you are. Also, walking shoes or warm boots are suggested for during the winter months. Seasonally appropriate clothing will help keep you comfortable.

Bring a camera, water, snacks to eat at the stops, and sunscreen. Depending on the season you might want to have a sun hat, gloves, a warm hat, rain jacket, sweater, or a heavy coat.

You have the option to order a box lunch for an additional cost. You can also bring your own lunch or we can stop at a restaurant in the park where you can purchase lunch.

Both locations mentioned above and the Giant Forest Museum offer the opportunity to buy souvenirs of your visit.

Payment is taken at the time of booking.  We accept MasterCard, Visa, and Discover.

We have a 7-day cancellation policy.  Cancellations inside of 7 days will receive no refund. Cancellations outside of 7 days receive a full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee.
